....another poem about Spring
Every time I hear about Beirut on the news, I think of you; showing me your home city in tiny slides held up to the light. I was studying for a job; for a life. You were learning how to rebuild a city “now the war is over,” you said. I’ve never seen anything so blue as those Lebanese skies in tiny slides held up to the light.
The Tideline
